Authenticate via Device Code
When you need to sign in to the Kequan Office desktop client without a direct password prompt, use the Device Code method. This secure, local-first approach links your desktop app to your web-based Kequan Account.
Why Use Device Code?
The Device Code login method is designed for scenarios where entering a password directly in the desktop client is restricted or when you prefer a more secure, out-of-band authentication flow. It ensures your credentials remain safe while allowing your local Kequan Office suite to sync with your cloud resources securely.
Step 1: Initiate Login in the Client
Open the Kequan Office application on your computer. Navigate to the login screen and select the Device Code option instead of the standard username/password fields. The application will display a unique alphanumeric code and a URL (usually https://www.03122.com).
Step 2: Visit the Authorization Page
On your web browser (on the same device or a different one), go to the URL provided by the client. You will be prompted to enter the device code exactly as it appears in the Kequan Office interface. This step verifies that you are the owner of the device requesting access.
Step 3: Sign in to Your Kequan Account
After entering the code, log in with your Kequan Account credentials. If you have two-factor authentication enabled, complete that verification step here. This confirms your identity through the official Kequan Account system.
Step 4: Complete the Connection
Once authenticated, the web page will display a success message. Return to the Kequan Office desktop client. It will automatically detect the successful authorization and log you in. You can now access your documents and tools locally.
FAQ
What if the device code expires?
Device codes are temporary for security reasons. If the code expires, simply refresh the login screen in the Kequan Office client to generate a new code and repeat the process.
Can I use this method on multiple computers?
Yes. You can authorize multiple devices using your Kequan Account. Each computer will require its own unique device code authorization.
Is my password visible on the web page?
No. The web page only handles the authorization token linked to your Kequan Account. Your password is managed securely by the authentication provider, and the device code acts as a temporary bridge.
What if I don't see the success message?
Ensure your desktop client and the web browser are running on the same network or device. If the issue persists, check your internet connection and try refreshing the client window.
